Blood Transfusion
Well they do things pretty early around here I got my Plattets transfusion around 5:50 AM. Once they know the counts are low at 3 am ish they order what blood you need and poof speedy delivery. It took about 30 mintes
Platelets are good...so good - bring those counts back up...just sit back and let your body do it's job - Keep up the walking, good job!!! Love You Tonz!!!
Good to hear they are taking good care of you there - they should, I'm sure you are probably one of their favorite patients - so upbeat and doing your job.
Keep up the good work-outs, etc. We all knew you would rock this - you make it sound easy.
Hey Stacy & Taylore & Mimi - hope ya'll are havin fun today at your grafiti art class (me & Tiff are super jealous!) Wish we could do more stuff together like the old days, sooooo long ago.
Hope ya'll have a great week and are feeling better than you have the last few weeks, call me later when things wind down again - and enjoy Mimi!
We're sorry for all that you guys are going thru, again!!! Can't even imagine what I'd do in your situation - we love ya'll so much and wish we were closer and could do something to help, anything....
Hopefully it will be down hill from here (that didn't sound right??? - just mean hope that things progress quickly from this point and you're over the major portion of the hump and never have to return that way again - EVER AGAIN!
If there is anything you need, or can think of that we can do to help - please call, ok?
you're in our hearts as always - love that we can keep caught up and communicate through this blog, great idea thanks for including us.

Cancer is so limited
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill freindship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silience courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirt
Cancer I did not give you the right. To invade my body and take a bite. This is my Body and with all my might . I will prevail with one hell of a fight. To the cancer inside, I will battle and kill. For that is my bodies God given will. To my cancer, these words I do send. Your life is short and near the end.

New Cancer Fighting Drug Begins Phase I Testing: May Provide Patients with Chemotherapy Alternative
A new clinical trial is underway to study a cancer drug known as EP-100 in patients with skin, ovarian, breast, prostate, endometrial and pancreatic cancer.
The Phase 1 trial will study 36 adult patients who have had biopsies that demonstrate high levels of the luteinizing releasing hormone receptors (LHRH), a prominent characteristic of cancer cells. Scientists will give patients a specific amount of EP-100 through an intravenous method for three out of the four week study.
The goal of EP-100 is to be a membrane disrupting peptide (tMDP) that goes after specific cancer cells in patients with solid tumors. Researchers are testing the drug to perform a routine they call “seek and destroy,” which will go after cells in one’s body that may have increased amounts of LHRH.
Preliminary results from the pre-clinical trials held in ovarian cancer cell lines were presented at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) annual meeting, located in Denver, CO. Physicians and researchers are hopeful that the drug will be a huge advancement for uterine and ovarian cancer patients. Many patients with advanced cancer will require new treatments and EP-100 may be the next paradigm of research.
Studies with mice have shown a decrease in size of tumors in people with several different types of cancer. Researchers are hopeful that EP-100 will be effective for patients and become a solidified alternative to chemotherapy and radiation with less negative results. The most uplifting news yet show that this drug does not harm normal, healthy cells, which may lead to higher standards to existing cancer therapies.
By providing FDA alerts, drug information, drug interactions and the latest news about prescription, over the counter medications and clinical trials, we can ensure an environment where patients have the best knowledge on their medical treatment and health.
